Yurij Koval’chyk was born in Lvov, Ukraine.
Takes up by photography from 1985 year.
A member of National Union of photoartists of Ukraine.

In the may of 2005 in Lvov in artgallery „Dzyga” took place the personal exhibition of Yurij Koval’chyk under the name „Smell of woman”, on which at first in Ukraine represented the artistic works with application of photographic technique „emulsiography”.

The developed method of emulsiography is based on the author recipe of emulsion, and also methods and receptions of causing of emulsion on surfaces.

Got declarative patent on an useful model „Method of emulsiography".

On the developed technology photoemulsion is inflicted on the specially prepared surfaces, underlining thus an uniqueness of every work in combination with an invoice, degree of washed out and tints of images.

The revived and improved in a digital epoch age-old technique gives to the analog picture the novelty and variety. As a result of application of technique of emulsiography all works are unique, it is impossible to repeat them.
